Fogg Street Lawn Club is Nashville’s first rooftop-lawn bowling green, bringing a unique blend of British-inspired fun to Downtown, Nashville. The new venue was created by Thom and Angela Dahle who founded Bad Axe Throwing Nashville in 2021. The Lawn Club is located next door to Bad Axe Throwing and is now a solid addition to the up-and-coming PieTown neighborhood. Fogg Street Lawn Club is located at 648 Fogg Street.
“Our goal is to provide a first of its kind unique atmosphere and experience for all our guests in Downtown Nashville. We will be Nashville’s top Soccer Pub for watching Nashville SC and Premier League games while also brining British Style Lawn Bowling to the most incredible rooftop in Nashville.” – Thom & Angela Dahle
Fogg Street Lawn Club (Lawn Club) offers a unique experience that combines outdoor games, food, drinks, and breathtaking city views. It is centrally located a short walk to the Nashville Gulch and is positioned as a great off-Broadway destination.
Designed by Daniels & Chandler Architects, the Lawn Club offers multiple levels of entertainment, boasting a rooftop pub, a 2,500-square-foot indoor soccer and rugby pub, plus a 2,000-square-foot ground-level pub, all where you can enjoy a British-inspired entrée with your favorite pint or whiskey while cheering on your favorite club.
Similar to bocce ball, Lawn Bowling is a sport where individuals roll a weighted ball that curves towards a small target ball (the Jack). The rooftop bowling green will feature eight lanes called “rinks,” each with covered VIP seating. In the winter months, the rooftop transforms for Bavarian Ice Stock (Curling) offering a unique seasonal experience.
Eshelman Construction built the original 9,000-square-foot venue, Bad Axe Throwing, in 2020. After the successful launch of the business, the owner Thom Dahle approached Eshelman about building the new Fogg Street Lawn Club concept. They also partnered with Katalyst Restaurant Concepts, and Pinnacle Financial Partners.
