Fogg Street Lawn Club Brings Lawn Bowling to Nashville
The multi-level spot is Nashville’s first lawn bowling venue — with skyline views to boot. Beyond the sport, the club doubles as a neighborhood pub.

Lawn bowling has arrived in Nashville by way of Fogg Street Lawn Club, now open at 648 Fogg St.
The new Pie Town venue from the Bad Axe Throwing owners features an 8,000-sqft rooftop bowling green with 15 lanes called “rinks,” each with covered seating. Inside, the restaurant serves British-inspired fare while soccer and rugby games play on the TVs.
What is lawn bowling?
Lawn bowling dates back to the 12th century and is played on a smooth grass surface known as a “green.” It’s similar to Bocce Ball, but uses “large, hard resin balls with a bias to them,” causing them to curve as they roll. The goal is to get your ball, or “bowl,” closer to a small white target ball, called the “jack,” than your opponents.

Play begins by rolling the jack down the green, followed by players taking turns rolling their bowls toward it. An “end” is completed when all bowls have been rolled in one direction down the green. Prefer a visual guide? Check out this instructional video.

Irish Whiskey Burger | Made with whiskey-infused barbecue sauce, gouda cheese, candied bacon, and onion jam
